Last week I noticed something strange going down...
Pluralis Majestatis (the ‘Royal We’)
Yesterday I saw some Trumped-up clown
some DJ, spinning pluralities,
pretending what seemed
(as one could identify)
a basically ordinary guy -
an obviously, blatantly, singular ‘I’,
to be instead
(for reasons hard to see)
amalgam of a multiplicity,
which pronounced itself, vainly, ‘we’.
